DESCRIPCIÓN SEO/FB: These videos have become part of pop history and favorites to tons of people. But where’s the line between cheesiness and timeless?

One of the things I always remember dearly about Christmas as a child is being at watching TV while everybody was freaking out preparing dinner. My cousins and I would spend hours watching the Christmas specials of music channels and laughing so hard about those that were extremely cheesy and corny (which basically were all of them). Cheesy or not, these videos have entered the lore of popular and modern Christmas celebrations and it’s quite hard not to love them. Take a look at our ultimate ranking and welcome the Christmas bliss in the right way, through pop music.

“Merry Christmas Everyone” by Shakin’ Stevens

With more than 60 million views (and for some reason with most of the comments in Polish), this is probably the cheesiest Christmas video you’ll ever see in your life. Full of eighties glory and some kind of corny stories, you’ll probably have to check your sugar levels after watching this. Still, a lot of people in Poland are still enjoying this so, Wesołych Świąt to you all!

“Santa, Tell Me” by Ariana Grande

Though this video is from 2014, somehow Ariana has risen the bar so high with her latest vids that watching this just gives me cheesy vibes. Nice try, but too sugary. That ugly Chrismas sweater is goals though.

“Last Christmas” by Wham!

Nothing is cheesier than eighties George Michael setting up the Christmas tree while singing about a past heartbreak, well, except Shakin’ Stevens song. Still, it’s one of the most popular non-carol Christmas songs and a great opportunity to leave our cheesy and corny spirit out.

“Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” by NSYNC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKj92352UAE

With terrible visual effects and a very lousy production, this might be one o the most timeless and yet visually horrible Christmas videos of all, and we all love it! It’s all that nineties extravaganza that we all love and makes us remember our cool childhood.

-

“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams

https://youtu.be/SFGC_YgeQ5w

You might think this one belongs more to the cheesy part of our ranking, but if you think about it, cheesy wouldn’t be the word. creepy perhaps, but all in all one of the most emblematic songs and visuals of the season.

-

“Santa Baby” by Lindsey Stirling

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-oxagtRO7A

This video might not be that famous but it’s a really cool modern version of the Christmas Classic. Plus, Stirling is really a very talented ballerina and those moves on points are really stunning.

-

“Sleigh Ride” by TLC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62rmjtZdCv8

Not only is this my favorite Christmas song of all times, but the rhythm and whole narrative of this version is also truly amazing. Mark my words, this song is on its way to become a seasonal classic.

-

“Santa’s Coming For Us” by Sia

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3EYjVPRClU

Without making a huge fuzz about it, Sia might be one of the most important elements of today’s pop music by having written some of the most important hits in the past years. This original single has all the elements we love in a Christmas song, the cheesiness (on purpose of course), and the joyous atmosphere.

-

“Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy” by David Bowie and Bing Crosby

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADbJLo4x-tk

This video is so simple and might not have all the Christmas elements that wow us, however, it’s just legendary. I mean Bowie, Crosby, their emblematic voices, and our favorite Christmas carols, what’s not to love?

-

“All I Want For Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey

https://youtu.be/yXQViqx6GMY

Nothing soothes a cold heart than watching Mariah Carey playing in the snow and hanging out with Santa while listening to her iconic song. This one’s actually the perfect video combo of cheesy and timeless, it has the “classic” element while still giving us some of the tacky nineties flair.

At the end of the day, let’s face it, Christmas is cheesy AF, but that’s the beauty of the festivity. It’s in this time when we can soften our hearts and let ourselves go into the beauty and joy of the season.
